Fabrica Vitae is a touring exhibition that reconsiders the role of art and anatomy in the modern world. Bringing together artists, scientists, and thinkers, it explores how we understand the human body today—and how emerging research and technology may reshape it in the future. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of Vesalius, the project challenges boundaries and encourages new ways of thinking across disciplines.
Each presentation is shaped by its context, with works selected in response to the venue and cultural setting. Rather than a fixed format, the exhibition evolves as it travels, creating site-responsive iterations while maintaining a shared core vision.
At its heart, Fabrica Vitae is a tribute to Vesalius’ enduring legacy. It celebrates the wonder of the human body while reflecting on how innovation continues to transform it. The participating artists engage deeply with the physical form, often pushing against the edges of knowledge and social convention, exploring the fertile ground between art and science with curiosity, courage, and imagination.
