In Collaboration with The Belgian Embassy in Athens , Mr Theo Dirix and Prof. Mark Gardiner and BIOMAB , Ann Van de Velde organised Vesalius Continuum Conference. The first Fabrica Vitae exhibition was in Zakynthos, Greece in September 2014.

An imposing building next to church of Saint Nikolaos on the Mall, houses the Cultural Center of Zakynthos and the Public Library, one of the best in Greece with over 50.000 books concentrated. The Library includes a small art gallery, small dolls with local costumes, photographic material and the historical archive of Zakynthos with codices and documents.
Fabrica Vitae had it's grand opening during the conference

Andreas Vesalius 1514 - 1564
In September 2014, under the auspices of The Municipality of Zakynthos and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Athens, the Ionian Island will host a number of events commemorating the 500th anniversary of the birth of Andreas Vesalius in Brussels. The Flemish physician, later universally referred to as the father of modern human anatomy, died on Zakynthos, Greece, in 1564 which will be exactly 450 years ago on Dec 15 2014
