The Andreas Vesalius 500th birthday conference that took place on 6th October 2015 at the Medical University of Astana, Kazakhstan was a very successful event! The audience had the chance to celebrate the birthday of the great Flemish Physician and Artist of the Renaissance, Andreas Vesalius and to explore MEDinART, the Fabrica Vitae Pilot Film (Anderewereldfilms & Pascal Pollier) and talks by distinguished Vesalius scholars: Theo Dirix, Raphael Suy, Leonid Karp, Johan Focquet, Vivian Nutton, Gulzira Sagimova.
the screening of MEDinART video as well as the cocktail-reception, hosted by Michel Peetermans, Ambassador of Belgium, and Mazhit Shaidorov, Rector of the Medical University.
